Every few years, Christmas and the first night of Hannukah fall on the same day. This can be a problem for interfaith families. A beautiful treatment of a very practical problem in relationships today.

 On a Winter Holiday Morning, a grandmother speaks words of a kind of wisdom to her daughter. She merely wants to know if her grandson is, somewhat, enchanted?

The Cocktail Bench

A minor miracle happens in 12 minutes on a winter evening. An elderly man confronts a young college professor who has taken lithographs from the trash outside his house in Washington, D.C. The lithographs belonged to his husband, who's been institutionalized with dementia. A true microcosm of a world caught in the act of changing!

Presented by All Out Arts as a part of the 2024-2025 season of the Fresh Fruit Festival. Written by John Harney, directed by Oriana Ng, and featuring Alex White as Paul and Gabrielle DuBrul as Willow.

Molting - A Short Play by Michael Towers

“At a lunch table for 2 at a seaside Clam Shack, the world is reduced to a microcosm, just for a moment, but it’s enough to change a few lives, and eventually perhaps the world too.”    -All Out Arts

Michael Towers' new play "Molting" is an entire world in an 11-minute microcosm, as a young father must explain to his young daughter why their family life is about to change drastically. In the words of one viewer "There is honesty, tenderness, and a lot of comedy as the two work through a new set of circumstances. I admire Michael's ability to make us laugh and cry in only 10 minutes.”

We have been working on the RadioPlay version of the work since mid 2023, and are now posting the revised audio version of the play which meanwhile has already gone on to win short play contests in Georgia, New York, Florida, and New Jersey, - and is already a Semi Finalist in the Samuel French Short Play Festival.

DYKER BYKES

An exciting - and ultimately a surprisingly touching - half hour by Claire Koenig.

We get to follow a young runaway and her adventures with an all-female motorcycle gang. In the author's words, "It's the queer motorcycle romance adventure that I have always wanted, and we all deserve!"

The Strange Case of Nick M.

"How many of our memories are manipulated into being? Does this make them any less of a memory?" 

 

Our second offering for 2022, by New York City author Drew Pisarra, is an electrifying journey into a Podcast investigating the secret agenda of medical experiments on a concert pianist with a 30-second memory!. Seemingly helped by experiments he is subjected to, he wonders how many of his newly recovered memories are real, and which are implanted by his wife and her friend, his doctor!

Our Season opener for 2022 by Dr. Catalina Florina Florescu of Pace University, takes place in an imaginary realm. In this little "world-theater" which Dr. Florescu offers us, two women are about to embark on the 'rest' of their lives.
